Porourangi is 1 of 10 siblings. He was born in the Manawatu before settling in Christchurch.

 

Porourangi's leadership extends beyond the game. On the field, he leads by example, rallying his team and inspiring them to victory. Off the field, he's a role model for his teammates, embodying the values of resilience, sportsmanship, and dedication.

With over a decade on the league field, Porourangi brings a wealth of gametime to every game.

 

Starting his journey 11years ago, guided by his father, who has been his coach since day one, Porourangi's journey in league is a testament to the power of mentorship and whānau support. His fathers teachings have shaped him into the player he is today, instilling in him the values of discipline, determination and hard work.

Secret talents: Porourangi can SANG! in his spare time you can find him on the haka stage with his kura kapa haka group Kimihia blasting some pretty wicked solo's or duets.
